In 1982 the Computer-Aided Design software AutoCAD was launched, but in Brazil, it came much later. In 1992 I was already using its version 10. It was a minimal CAD system; very suitable to create architectural draft designs, but with some creativity, it allowed me to create 3D objects. By creating a 2D platform, I got to make my first line of products for Sanremo S.A. The biggest manufacturer of housewares in Brazil. This line of products is still in the Brazilian market for more than 20 years since it was launched. It is called Hydrus.

At that time, buckets used to have wire handles, so we introduced the thicker plastic handle. Also, the rim was reinforced with a very robust profile that gives a good strength for it. And the bottom had a waved surface that made it very strong. It was a hit in the stores and changed my life.

One day Casabella's owner came to visit and buy products from Sanremo S.A to bring into the US market. And it didn't take much time to receive a job offer to work in Blauvelt, NY, at Casabella.
